CORROSION LABS es un laboratorio creativo orientado a la investigación y aplicación de inteligencia artificial en procesos de generación visual y sonora, operando en entornos donde la tecnología muestra signos evidentes de desgaste y saturación.
El trabajo se desarrolla mediante la integración de distintas disciplinas, combinando sistemas de imagen y sonido dentro de estructuras técnicas heredadas, modificadas y forzadas más allá de su uso previsto. Los medios no se tratan como soportes neutrales, sino como superficies sometidas a tensión constante.
Los procesos se basan en iteración, repetición y variación dirigida. Se privilegian comportamientos inestables, desviaciones funcionales y resultados ásperos frente a modelos pulidos, eficientes o destinados a consumo pasivo.
La degradación, el ruido y la pérdida progresiva de coherencia no se consideran anomalías a corregir, sino consecuencias inevitables de sistemas explotados hasta sus límites operativos.
La inteligencia artificial no actúa como agente autónomo ni como entidad creativa independiente. Funciona como infraestructura instrumental, sujeta a control humano, intervención directa y decisiones que asumen responsabilidad sobre el resultado.
Sin dirección humana, el sistema se limita a repetir patrones vacíos.

The work is developed through the integration of multiple disciplines, combining image and sound systems within technical structures that are inherited, modified, and pushed beyond their intended use. Media are not treated as neutral supports, but as surfaces subjected to constant tension.
Processes are based on iteration, repetition, and directed variation. Unstable behaviors, functional deviations, and abrasive results are favored over polished, efficient models or outputs designed for passive consumption.
Degradation, noise, and the progressive loss of coherence are not considered anomalies to be corrected, but inevitable consequences of systems exploited to their operational limits.
Artificial intelligence does not act as an autonomous agent nor as an independent creative entity. It functions as instrumental infrastructure, subject to human control, direct intervention, and decisions that assume responsibility for the outcome.
Without human direction, the system is limited to the repetition of empty patterns.
